power outage

so my power went out yesterday and wasn't retored untill this morning. The power didn't just go out though, the transformer (not the cool robot ones) behind our house actuallyexploded! It was on fire for several minutes and the fire dept wouldn't come out because the fire went out. FUN!!!! Yeah, you try to keep a two year old entertained all day with no electricity; NOT easy. I don't see how people in the old days did it. Then again they didn't know whan they were missing. Luckily our power has been restored, lets just hope it stays that way.
